Wildlife Problems Affecting North York Properties
Ravine backed properties along the Don Valley wildlife corridor and Humber River wildlife corridor face constant wildlife pressure. Nuisance wildlife exploits every gap in older housing stock from the 1950s to 1980s building era. Attic wildlife activity and wildlife denning surge during spring wildlife season.
Animal entry into homes through wildlife in roofs and wildlife in walls causes serious property damage from wildlife. Properties near Edwards Gardens and G Ross Lord Park report the highest urban wildlife conflict rates. Structural intrusion worsens fast in North York’s aging post war residential construction.
Wildlife Species We Handle in North York
Raccoon Removal North York
Raccoons cause insulation contamination and roof damage through soffit prying. Baby season April to June requires mother raccoon handling protocol.
Squirrel Removal North York
Eastern Grey Squirrels gnaw wires, creating serious electrical fire risk. Squirrel exclusion funnels close soffit entries in Willowdale and Don Mills.
Skunk Removal North York
Striped skunks den under decks across Downsview and Bathurst Manor yearly. L-trench skunk barriers and deck skirting exclusion stop skunk denning.
Bat Removal North York
Ontario MNRF bans bat exclusion during maternity season May to August. Big Brown Bats access roofs through gaps as small as 6mm.
Bird Removal North York
European Starlings and House Sparrows nest inside attic vents and soffits. Ontario’s Migratory Birds Convention Act restricts active nest removal without proper timing.
Chipmunk Removal North York
Eastern Chipmunks tunnel under foundations across Parkwoods and Flemingdon Park. Ground level mesh exclusion and attractant removal stop chipmunk foundation damage fast.

What Toronto Property Owners Say About Pestiseed
Our Wildlife Control Process in North York
Step 1: Property Inspection and Species Identification
We start every job with a full property inspection and roof perimeter walk. Species identification from evidence and entry point count guide the written estimate.
Step 2: Humane Removal or One Way Exclusion
A one way exclusion door lets animals exit without re-entry. Under Ontario MNRF rules, baby animal reunification and non lethal removal methods are strictly followed.
Step 3: Entry Point Sealing and Structural Repair
Galvanised mesh installation, soffit repair, and chimney cap installation permanently close every gap. Deck skirting with L-trench and roof flashing repair restore your building envelope.
Cleanup, Repair and Prevention
Guano removal, insulation replacement and feces decontamination restore your Ajax attic after wildlife exit. Odor neutralization and disinfection eliminate contamination left by the urine decontamination process. Chimney cap installation and vent cover installation block all confirmed entry holes permanently. An exclusion warranty and post service inspection confirm no recurrence follows completed work.
Signs That Wildlife Has Entered Your North York Home
Attic and Roof Level Indicators
Morning scratching sounds and evening scratching sounds in your attic signal roof level intrusion. Torn soffit panels, damaged roof vent screens, and compressed insulation confirm attic wildlife activity.
Ground Level and Under Structure Indicators
Skunk odour under deck and ground burrows near foundation reveal ground level entry holes. Displaced soil at your deck perimeter and garage perimeter gaps expose active under structure access points.
Common Wildlife Entry Points in North York Homes
Soffits, Fascia, and Roof Vents
Raccoons pry open loose soffits and deteriorated soffit panels daily. Squirrels push through fascia soffit junction gaps and blocked attic vent screens.
Chimneys, Ridge Caps, and Plumbing Stacks
A missing chimney cap pulls raccoons and bats straight inside. Ridge cap displacement and unsealed pipe collars open hidden plumbing stack gaps overhead.
Deck Foundations and Garage Perimeter
Skunks use deck foundation gaps for under deck denning every season. Garage door bottom gaps and concrete gaps at foundation give groundhogs and opossums direct access.
